Scott, I love the roller coaster analogy, I heard the same thing from a woman at work who said "My husband made me do it...and I LOVED it". It is the loss of control. :)

Why do we fail
to loose our life
to surrender control of a tricycle
when we could ride the rocket?

we forget (or choose not to believe)...
that long-term gain is more important
that Father DOES know best
that others will be not dissappointed
that God is really with us
that He does really Love us

Good thoughts Brad. So much of how we live is a direct result of the picture we have of God. Understanding God's identity and who He really is may be the most important thing in a Christian living the life God intends.
